Wow these are the worst instructions I’ve ever seen for anything in my life. Are you deliberately trolling people or what? You’ve literally wasted dozens of people’s time and effort. By not taking this down or correcting it, you are a terrible human being. Tell me how I’m supposed to make a 48 inch camera strap with 28.5″ cords. Tell me how I’m supposed to make a diamond shape by tying cords 4, 3, 2, and 1 to cord 5 and then tying cords 6, 7 and 8 to cord 5 as well. Tell me how I’m supposed to use strands 7 and 8 to tie a half knot around cords 3 through 6. You are a disgusting person. Shame on you.

In reply to Michelle. I made the 40 inch strap using 25 foot long strands and it turned out great! For the 48 inch strap you'll probably need 28,5 foot

I came to say the same thing – a 40 inch strap uses 25 FOOT long strands, and the wristlet uses 9 FOOT long strands, but the 48 inch strap uses 28.5 INCH long strands? SO confusing! Looks like there hasn’t been a response to comments for 3 years on here, though 🙁

This is my first time trying macrame and I am so confused with these instructions. I can’t get past step 4. Do I use strand 3 and do the half hitches around strand 5 or four?

Hello. Trying to make this strap and I am stuck on step 9. What strand do you use with 7. Strand 2?

Step Nine: Use strands and seven to tie a half knot over the middle strands (3-6). Don’t pull it too tightly
