If you’re looking for a quick, budget-friendly gift you can make in bulk for friends and neighbors, I’ve got you covered with this homemade potpourri.
You can use foraged or store-bought plants and herbs, a little essential oil and get creative—it’s hard to go wrong, and the results smell so, so good.
Add a gift tag telling the recipient to pour the potpourri in a bowl to scent a small space or into a pot of boiling water to make a whole house fragrant, and you’re done!
Supplies:
-dried herbs like rosemary and sage
-dried spices like cinnamon sticks, cloves, and star anise
-dried apple or orange slices
-orange peel
-dried flowers like calendula
-pine cones
-a festive essential oil like cinnamon or fir needle
-glass jars or cellophane bags

Love it! I’ll probably add lemon peel to mine and use a pine essential oil.
I would like more tips on making potpourri! This is great!
Did you dehydrate the curled orange peel?
You can, but it will dry out over time unless it’s stored in an high moisture area
What glass jars are using in the picture? They are so cute!
LOVE! You are so so talented. Where did you get these cute glass jars from?
yes where did you get the jars
I’ve seen some like that at Hobby Lobby and IKEA.
